I LOVE a good deal... but I don’t just mean when it comes to real estate. You guys know that when it comes to fashion, I love experimenting with new looks and typically incorporate a mix of high-end designer pieces with affordable staples.
A super-flattering pair of jeans + some killer shades + a statement top + a designer handbag = my everyday look.
I started investing in designer handbags years ago, but I don’t have a crazy collection with 100+ bags…wanna know why? 1) My home doesn’t have the closet space. 2) After giving them a good life, I sell many of them!!
Instagram of all places has been my go-to when it comes to selling or hunting hard-to-find designer items. PRO TIP: Handbags have incredible resale value if sold within about a year or less of being purchased, so keep that in mind next time you want to splurge on an item!
Instagram has a ton of salespeople from retailers like Saks, Neiman Marcus, and more, who make these designer purchases possible by sharing exclusive products and back door deals before anyone else. I have dozens of salespeople that I follow with beautifully curated, authentic luxury/designer finds. Oftentimes, designer handbags are in such high demand that they are sold out everywhere, but I’ve found a few people on Instagram with their pulse on the market.
Recently about 2 months ago, I had been eyeing this Prade Re-Edition , but it was sold out nearly EVERYWHERE! Lo and behold, one of my trusty IG shoppers found it for me after I messaged them. I will probably be selling it in 6-8 months if anyone is interested… ;)
I even recently sold my designer wedding jumpsuit on IG, so just remember that Instagram is not just a place to read and look at pretty photos—you can use it to network, shop, sell, and find incredible personal shoppers who will help you score whatever it is you are hunting for—trust me!
