ERICA COLLICA

ASSOCIATE BROKER

  • With an innovative mindset combined with my digital expertise, I fearlessly navigate negotiations with a blend of finesse and a dash of cheeky charm, turning every deal into a triumph. The Michigan real estate market is intricate and full of varied local markets, and I’m an expert at analyzing them. I negotiate fiercely and easily build strong relationships with other agents, allowing for smoother deals from initial offer to close.

When you work with me, you can expect a direct, hands-on approach with strategy, insight, and exceptional service. Bottom line? I save you stress, and time, and won't leave a penny on the table.

  • I started my real estate career 17 years ago selling new construction homes in Oakland County. Barely an adult, I had big dreams and nothing to lose, with just the right mix of naïveté and determination. I transitioned to working independently as an agent in 2006, and by the end of the Great Recession, I’d built my business to the top 10% of agents nationwide. By then, I knew I’d found my calling.

I joined Max Broock in 2011, and from that moment on have fine-tuned my process and strategies to give my clients the best buying or selling experience possible.

Since moving to the City of Detroit in 2014, I’ve played an active role as an ambassador for living and working downtown. I’ve maintained business throughout the metro Detroit area and will always help clients near and far, but I’m also grateful to play a small role in helping others fall in love with living in Detroit, too. Working in real estate here gives me a great sense of pride.

  • Erica lives with her husband and business partner Kyle, their son Hudson, and their Yorkshire Maltese, Jagger in downtown Detroit. Beyond real estate, her passions include fashion, design, pilates, eating healthy, and supporting other small businesses.

KYLE SWINK

ASSOCIATE BROKER

  • Kyle is one of Metro-Detroit’s most trusted realtors, counting numerous distinguished business and community leaders among his clients. A member of the Max Broock Detroit office since its inception, Kyle works with individuals, investors, and developers interested in the area’s most coveted properties—with a particular focus on Detroit and North up the Woodward/I-75 corridor up through his hometown, Rochester.

A high-touch agent known for his extensive market knowledge and unmatched devotion to his clients, Kyle’s success is based almost exclusively on positive referrals. He earns the respect of his clients by working tirelessly on their behalf and by always offering them candid advice.

  • As a licensed agent since 2011 with more than $60M in career sales, Kyle has consistently ranked amongst the top-selling agents in the market. In 2017, he closed a record-setting sale of the penthouse at The Book Cadillac Residences for $1.7M.

  • Kyle lives in Brush Park with his wife, Erica Collica – who is also a REALTOR at Max Broock Detroit – their yorkie-maltese, Jagger, and their 1-year-old son, Hudson. When he isn’t working, Kyle enjoys cooking, traveling, golfing, keeping up with major league sports, and spending time with his family and friends.

ABBEY MACKOOL

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

  • Abbey is an indispensable multi–tasker who runs my team’s business from top to bottom. Since becoming a Licensed Agent in 2017, Abbey has worked alongside top-producing agents, processing over 300 real estate transactions – nearly $140M in sales volume – in just seven years. With a concentration in the Detroit condo market, she’s managed sales and leasing teams for 16 residential projects in the city and counting, including rehab and new construction developments.

Day-to-day, Abbey manages everything from contract preparations and MLS listings to escrow processing, website updates, email marketing, and more. With the rest of the team in the field, she’s at the command center (her home office), keeping our business flowing in real-time. For each of our clients – buyers, sellers, and developers alike – Abbey’s experience ensures a smooth transaction for each client’s varied circumstances and goals.

  • Abbey moved to Detroit in 2005 at 17 years old to study Business Finance and Urban Planning at Wayne State while working at Slows BarBQ – an undeniable hub of Detroit’s recent revitalization. Building on her experience, she partnered with a local Chef in 2013 to open a restaurant and catering company, RUBBED, in Corktown.

As the operating partner, Abbey became well versed in managing client expectations, vendor relations and sales. Her responsibilities included negotiating proposals and contracts, marketing and brand development, website and print design, and more.

To open their brick-and-mortar location, she acted as GC and successfully obtained all licensing required for the business, including change of use from a former hair salon to a food service establishment. Abbey sold the business in 2016, but the location is still in operation today with the same licensing.

Following her passion for interior design, home renovations, and historic architecture, Abbey launched her real estate career in 2017 as a licensed assistant under the wing of one of the top-producing agents in Detroit. In this role, she was responsible for managing media, listings, marketing, contract processing, client relations and reporting, and more for nearly a dozen rehab and new construction condo projects in the city of Detroit, ranging in size from 10-100 units. In 18 months, she handled over $60M in transactions.

After joining The Meet Erica Team in mid-2019, Abbey quickly grew into an expanded role as Director of Operations. In addition to managing all client transactions, she works closely with Erica to continue to strategically grow the Meet Erica brand while maintaining the highest standard of services.

In 2022, Abbey launched her first private venue, The Disco Loft, in the East Riverfront neighborhood of Detroit. Allowing her to pursue her passion for interior design and hands-on renovation projects, the space functions as an event venue, production space, and airbnb.

  • Abbey lives in Indian Village with her 6-year-old daughter, Mia, who is a kindergartener at Detroit Waldorf. They love being immersed in the rich culture of Detroit, regularly attending the many festivals, concerts, and events happening throughout the year. Mia shares her mother’s love for eating out, biking around the city, dance parties, and, of course, heading up north in the summer.

JULIA WALKER

AGENT

  • Julia has forged early success in her career through her determination, marketing prowess, and eagerness to learn, ensuring top-notch service for her clients. Licensed in 2020, she joined the Meet Erica team in 2022, giving her access to high-level mentorship on a daily basis and exponentially accelerating her growth into a strong, confident agent.

In just a few years, Julia has managed to help over 50 metro Detroiters buy, sell, and lease real estate, with nearly $9M in sales under her belt. Through handling many of our buyer tours, open houses, and inspections she is quickly becoming a skilled contract negotiator. Consistently going above and beyond with relentless dedication and a tireless work ethic, Julia employs her exceptional communication skills and acute attention to detail to guarantee that her client's needs are met at every step.

Max Broock is part of the Real Estate One Family of Companies with dozens of offices across Metro Detroit; we’re always close to home.

  • Established nearly 125 years ago in Detroit, Max Broock is known for their high standard of services offered to every client. Newly back in the city and with over 25 offices in the Metro-Detroit area, Max Broock is uniquely positioned to facilitate energized buyers actively searching for a perfect Detroit home on the local, national and global scale.

It was 1895 when a young Max Broock, age 24, got his start selling desirable farm property just outside the city in an area that later became part of historic Virginia Park. In 1905, the Max Broock House was built at 233 Erskine Street in Historic Brush Park and his offices were in the Breitmeyer- Tobin building, now known as Harmonie Center.

Realizing the power of branding, Max renamed the prestigious East Chicago Blvd in 1910, marketing the neighborhood to his clients as it’s now known – Arden Park. His intentional use of the Woodward Avenue frontage as open space was an important design decision and an excellent selling point. Max Broock’s commitment to and impact on the city of Detroit still resonates today.

In 2002, Max Broock joined the Real Estate One Family of Companies. The merger combined two third-generation family brokerages and the extensive market knowledge they both possess. Those resources fuel the authenticity of Max Brook Detroit today.
