MONTHLY OBSESSION: ALL THE NEW RESTAURANTS IN DETROIT THAT YOU CAN'T MISS!
This past weekend, Amanda, Abbey and I all went to some newer Detroit restaurants (for research purposes , duh!). And even though the Covid-19 situation continues to be a very real part of our everyday life, I still believe in supporting local restaurants any way you feel most comfortable!
Whether that means ordering carryout, using Grubhub, or dining out as safely as possible and social distancing in public, like me, don’t miss these Detroit gems and don’t forget to support our local Detroit restaurants. Feel free to message me any of your favorites that I missed, so we can be sure to try them next time we have a team outing!
Olin
Olin is an American-Mediteranean brasserie with Spanish influences located in the former PuppetArt Theater building at 25 E. Grand River Ave. near the Shinola Hotel. They offer an Inspired menu that’s approachable, simple and refined. I ordered the bucatini pasta (pictured above) and went with my friend and last month’s bad ass babe, Ilse Devereux.
Bunny Bunny
Bunny Bunny is a new Chinese takeout and delivery operation preparing a range of cuisine from Sichuan Province, Hunan, Shandong, and beyond run by Chefs Justin Tootla and Jennifer Jackson. Noodles, dumplings…need I say more?! I’ve already ordered a few times and it doesn’t disappoint!
Mink
Mink is a corktown neighborhood oyster bar that Abbey on my team swears by. But oysters aren’t all they are known for…their menu changes daily so you can’t go wrong with any one of the daily specials. The clam chowder is amazing and so is the roasted squash!
