This month’s badass babe is Angela Wisniewski, one of Detroit’s very best dressed and the owner of one of my favorite boutiques, Coup D’ètat Boutique. Products range from incredibly beautiful, unique clothing to accessories, beauty products, and home goods. Ever since opening in November 2019, Angela’s done a kick-ass job at seamlessly bringing her store’s aesthetic to both her website and Instagram so that shoppers can experience her unique store from home, too.
The store offers a mix of highly curated independent brands that you won’t see anywhere else, plus, the store’s Instagram is basically my dream aesthetic. Everything she posts to IG is so beautifully styled that I find myself constantly keeping tabs on her page for inspiration.

Immediately upon entering Angela’s shop in the Albert Kahn-designed Cadillac Place building in New Center, you’ll notice just how special and unique it is. It smells good, the design is to die for and Angela’s level of customer service is incredible.
She offers amazing advice if you’re shopping for something specific and treats you like a BFF, which I LOVE. She’s also a big supporter of the Detroit community and regularly raises money for local nonprofits.
There’s nothing else like Coup D’ètat anywhere around, so, do me a favor, and check out her store in person, give her like on IG, and go explore the online shop. She regularly updates stock and it’s so easy to fall in love with pieces after seeing how Angela styles them on IG.
